Awesome

It was destiny when my friend suggested the name "Globecutter" I knew it was meant to be, because it combines two words that are a huge part of me. "globe" because I love to travel and have always been fascinated by exploration of different countries and experiencing things out of my comfort zone.
And "cutter" because I'm a professional Hairdresser with a passion for Hair and fashion.

Hair is AWESOME! Travel is AWESOME! Globecutter is F-ING AWESOME!!!

Hey, I decided i needed to update my blog and try to be a lot more active. Even though there hasn';t been much to write about lately.
Here's a pic of Dan from the Preston salon at the LO'real colour trophy finals last month. He did amazingly getting to the grand final, he's done Jo and Cass proud. Twelve of us went to Grosvenor house in London and had a blast. The show by Rush creative team was fantastic, along side the show was a singer and band. The show had two key looks one full of colour and edge, the other was elegant and beautiful, hair was huge but sleek and structured at the same time.

Here's a cracking picture of Mum on my sisters birthday, dancing to an old disco cd I bought for the salon, she obviously liked it more than I. We finally had an excuse to drink the champagne that's been in the fridge so long. Not like the last time, when I came home from the pub one Friday pissed after six pints, opened mums champagne, took one sip... Then passed out!

These pics may seem boring to some people. But not to me because my sister is awesome and I love her heaps!! I love you Michelle! HAPPY Birthday!

Manchester moments

So, heaton park wasn't as nice as I thought! Just a big field with some trees. Ooo so green and lovely ! But it did have a cool monument with huge columns , and statues of some men I haven't met. Lol
Saw my first bull. Sad I know , they looked cuter than I thought. And this sign just made me chuckle.
Hehe

Footsteps

Seeing rocks laid out like this reminded me of footsteps.
Ok they look like bigfoots footsteps. (there footsteps all the same.)
Footsteps remind me of your journey through life. Especially here with a stream running through them.
The water represents life, and the energy life has. the footsteps are mine walking through life.
I have so many useless ambitions. but one is to keep walking through the stream, not through it, But with it. Harmonised with the currents downstream, and sometimes upstream. Not aiming to any goals or desires nor the finish line.
There is no destination, Just constantly flowing with life, until one day I'm gone. Then some other will follow in my footsteps.

Madrid Exposure tour pt 2 Party

Had so much fun with the other ID Artists in Madrid. My stomach was hurting me from all the laughing i did
Can't wait to do it all again this year.

Madrid Exposure tour

Ok! Blogging every day has been harder than I thought.
But, here's some pictures from the L'Oreal Exposure tour in Madrid.
The Exposure Tour takes place once a year and is a showcase of work, for the industry pro's, by the industry pro's. And what a show it was!!
Brooks and Brooks were the guest artists and what a show it was. It left me feeling positively motivated and inspired. Even after the two days of partying I had just done.
Hair was 3D, granny nets and elastic was used on backcombed hair to sculpt the hair to look like extra terrestrial life forms.
Cool undercuts and disconnections. Colour techniques resembling a butterfly and colours of antique hues.
This was why I became a Hairdresser!!!!

4/4/2011
April 1st was supposed to be the day i start blogging, but as usual I got behind.
Yesterday Gail and I went to Manchester to Professional Hairdresser live exhibition. There were a few stalls selling the latest salon stuff, products and some other bull shit. But, all in all it was pretty good. There was a cutting demo on the fellowship stage with nice short and disconnected fringes, and panels of colour placement.

We then saw an Italian guy doing hair ups using pieces attached to the hair. One had huge black FEATHERS!!! sticking out. I don't know what it is, but there's something about feathers i love. Maybe it's the camp flamboyancy coming out of me.
